Fly Racing F2 Carbon MIPS Shield Helmet in White Red - Fly Racing Motocross Helmet
The F2 Carbon Helmet has established itself as a top choice in race circuits around the world. The helmet earned a reputation as one of the most comfortable helmets on the market. The new F2 has taken this to the next level with its one-piece tri-composite carbon fiber shell and mouth guard, MIPS® (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System), and best in class airflow. The new F2 excels at impact technology without compromising the comfortable fit—with an all-new bold look.
Though it shares many of the same construction features as the leading Formula model, the F2 MIPS has its own unique style and identity.

Carbon fibre, Kevlar®, Multi-directional Impact Protection System (MIPS®), Drylex Microfiber the F2 Carbon in its standard form is as close to a factory race bike as a helmet can get. Used by top FLY racers Trey Canard, Andrew Short, Weston Peick, and Justin Brayton, this helmet is out-of-the-box and on-to-the-racetrack ready.
Fly Racing F2 Carbon MIPS Helmet features:
- MIPS® Brain Protection System: helmetintegrated, low-friction layer designed to reduce rotational motion transferred to the brain from angled impacts
- Carbon Matrix composite shell
- Dual-density EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) liner
- Custom rubber trim with integrated nose guard
- Lightweight machined aluminum visor screws
- Stainless steel rivets and D-rings
- Two shells and Three EPS sizes for a precise fit
- Removable and washable COOLMAX® comfort liner and cheek pads
- All FLY helmets have TFV (True Functional Ventilation). When in motion air is forced through multiple air intake vents, then passed through aligned vent channels in the EPS and exits out multiple rear exhaust vents
- Quad-vent above eye port draws air from goggle to reduce fogging
- Soft fleece helmet bag included
About MIPS Integrated technology:

How You Fall if You Fall
- Most helmets are tested only by dropping them vertically onto a flat surface. MIPS® technology is the hard-earned result of over 19 years of studies and testing by some of the world’s leading researchers and brain surgeons, based on a different principle – reality. Because in reality when you fall, your head usually hits the ground at an angle, creating a rotational force that leads to strain in the brain. With MIPS®, the helmet can absorb more of that rotational force, adding better protection than helmets not equipped with MIPS®.
Land on Your Feet, Even When You Don’t
- MIPS® (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) patented technology was developed by some of the world’s leading researchers in biomechanics and neuroscience at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. You can see for yourself the difference in an angled impact between helmets with and without MIPS®. With exactly the same speed and angle, the results are very different. The pictures speak for themselves - the more red areas, the more strain on the brain. Gain peace of mind by helping to protect your brain with a new standard of technology currently on the market, MIPS®.
Mimicking the Brain
- The secret behind MIPS®, patented technology derives from the human brain. The brain is surrounded by a low-friction cushion of cerebrospinal fluid that protects it by allowing it to slide slightly on impact. MIPS® imitates the brain’s way of protecting itself by giving the helmet its own low-friction layer between the outer shell and the liner, which also slides to absorb a portion of the energy created by an angled blow to the head. This can reduce the rotational force otherwise transmitted to your brain. The combination of the brain’s own protection and MIPS®, therefore, provides more protection than a helmet without MIPS® technology. Very simple and very effective. MIPS® mirrors the brain’s own intelligent protection system and provides an additional element to helmet safety.
